INTRO TO STAMP CARVING WORKSHOP 

Class Date: Sunday, February 5th

Class Time: 12pm–3pm

Explore the fantastic world of relief printmaking + stamp carving with us! In this beginner friendly workshop!

You’ll receive step-by-step instructions on carving tools and proper printing techniques. With these tips and tricks, you will then carve, ink, and print your own personalized stamps!

First we’ll kick off this workshop with a lesson in composition and illustration inspired by trendy patterns and motifs. Next, we will go over all the necessary instructions on proper handling of the carving tools, and proceed to carve these fun images onto several small linoleum blocks.

To finish the class, we will then print these designs into a series of prints, cards and envelopes!

You will leave with your hand carved stamps and stamp carving tools + know how to continue printing and carving at home!

Each workshop ticket includes:

  • 3 hours of hands on instruction from a talented artist and small business owner

  • Stamp carving guide + templates

  • Carving knives + handle set

  • Print making paper 

  • Use of ink brayer + palette knife and other supplies during the class

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR: AUDREY JAHANIAN

Audrey is the owner of Little Green Press ATX, a small artisan business based in Austin, TX. Though this business is primarily print-based, Audrey's work expands to other media including, but not limited to: graphic design, illustration, mural work, drawing, and painting!

Cancellations: We do not allow cancellations as we have committed to compensating our instructor for their time, supplies and talent. However, if you are unable to attend the workshop, let us know within 48 hours and you can either send someone else in your place or have this workshop's materials shipped to you.

Dietary restrictions: We will be providing a light meal for all of our workshop attendees. At this time we are not able to cater to every dietary restriction but will have a vegetarian option available. (please make a selection at check out, once your selection has been made we are unable to modify.)

Age requirements: The Paper + Craft Pantry workshops are created for adults and are not recommended for anyone under the age of 18 years old. We are unable to seat anyone under age without a ticketed parent or legal guardian who is also attending this class.
