FLORALS + WATERCOLOR LETTERING COMBO WORKSHOP

Class Date: Saturday, May 13th

Class Time: 11am–3pm

*This workshop is recommended for someone who have taken any previous lettering workshop or have some beginner experience in lettering as the watercolor lettering portion of the workshop can be considered intermediate.

Join us for an afternoon filled with creative fun during this special combo workshop! You will get a lesson in floral arrangement before diving into the world of watercolor lettering. 

The class will kick off with an introduction to a variety of flowers and an overview of color palettes. We will then dive right into the art of floral arranging as you create your very own, one-of-a-kind flower arrangement!

We will then move on to the lettering portion of the workshop. It is recommended that you have taken a previous lettering or calligraphy class or have some beginner experience.

We will use a round brush to create watercolor phrases and florals. We will begin with basic strokes and letter formation to get familiarized with the paintbrush through step by step instructions and personalized guided practice. By the end of the class, you will have the tools to achieve a final look that showcases your beautiful color palettes that swirl together to show off your unique style!

You will leave this workshop with your flower arrangement, watercolor lettering materials and guide to continue lettering at home!

Each workshop ticket includes:

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR: PEI SIM

Pei is the owner + founder of The Paper + Craft Pantry. Over the years of being a creative, she has expanded into exploring flower gardening in her backyard. She enjoys creating seasonal, beautiful and minimal floral arrangements for her neighbors and friends.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR: KAT DOKKO

Kat is the owner of Kat & Things, a small business that started in NC in 2016 but has traveled to Chicago, and Kansas City since. Now based in Austin, TX, Kat loves to bring joy to others mostly through embroidery, watercolor calligraphy, and florals, but loves creating custom orders and bringing others’ creative visions to life!

Cancellations: We do not allow cancellations as we have committed to compensating our instructor for their time, supplies and talent. However, if you are unable to attend the workshop, let us know within 48 hours and you can either send someone else in your place or pick up your arrangement and supplies the week following the workshop.

Dietary restrictions: We will be providing a light meal for all of our workshop attendees. At this time we are not able to cater to every dietary restriction but will have a vegetarian option available. (please make a selection at check out, once your selection has been made we are unable to modify.)

Age requirements: The Paper + Craft Pantry workshops are created for adults and are not recommended for anyone under the age of 18 years old. We are unable to seat anyone under age without a ticketed parent or legal guardian who is also attending this class.
