Class Date: Sunday, August 18th

Class Time: 1pm–4pm

Learn to make a framed, 3-dimensional layered paper and fiber artwork using sustainable materials. This artwork is inspired by the pollinators of Texas, so it features beautiful native Texas wildflowers: sunflowers, Gregg's mistflower, goldenrod and asters.

You’ll receive step-by-step instructions on stitching techniques and paper layering to create depth. You will embroider, arrange and compose your own original, one-of-a-kind artwork inspired by native Texas wildflowers and pollinators!

You will also learn a speical embroidery stitch called the Turkey Work Stitch and then a simple knot stitch to create grasses and blooms for your artwork. You will then have the opportunity to arrange and compose your own native Texas wildflower scene.

To finish the class, we will then frame your artwork and you will leave the class with your own framed original artwork inspired by native Texas pollinators and wildflowers.
