INTRO TO PUNCH NEEDLE WORKSHOP 

Class Date: Saturday, October 5th

Class Time: 12pm–3pm

This beginner-friendly workshop will introduce you to punch needle embroidery! 

The workshop will focus on basic punch needle techniques that you will use to fill in one of three templates (mushroom, flower, or color block) using a palette of fall-inspired colors. Then we will add backing and turn it into a finished coaster or wall hanging for you to take home! 

During the workshop you will learn how to create a punch needle piece step-by-step, from the basic methods and materials to creating a finished product. You will leave the workshop with your own tools to continue practicing this fun, tactile, and meditative craft!

Each workshop ticket includes:

  • 3 hours of hands on instruction from a talented artist and small business owner

  • Punch Needle 101 guide + resources

  • Frame, punch needle, and scissors (to use + keep)

  • Monk’s cloth with pre-drawn templates

  • Use of 100% wool yarn

  • Snack bento box + treats

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTORS: OLWYN MOXHAY

Olwyn is an artist originally from Maine, now living in Austin, TX. Under Olwyn Moxhay Art she creates home decor that incorporates bright colors, patterns, and symbolism. She is interested in combining aspects of folk art, craft, and fine art. She first tried punch needle in 2020 and has been doing it ever since!

Inclement weather: Updates and policies will be emailed the week of the workshop date with any current or relevant pertinent information.

Cancellations: We do not allow cancellations as we have committed to compensating our instructor for their time, supplies and talent. However, if you are unable to attend the workshop, let us know within 48 hours and you can either send someone else in your place or pick up any personal workshop materials the week following the class.

Dietary restrictions: We will be providing a light meal for all of our workshop attendees. At this time we are not able to cater to every dietary restriction but will have a vegetarian option available. (please make a selection at check out, once your selection has been made we are unable to modify.)

Age requirements: The Paper + Craft Pantry workshops are created for adults and are not recommended for anyone under the age of 18 years old. We are unable to seat anyone under age without a ticketed parent or legal guardian who is also attending this class.
