INTRO TO SEWING WORKSHOP

Class Date: Sunday, October 8th

Class Time: 11am–2pm

Have you been wanting to try sewing but don't know where to begin, or it's been a while and you want to get back into it?

We are so excited for our first introduction to machine sewing workshop! You will learn the basics from threading your machine to troubleshooting common issues. We will then move on to cutting and sewing using a simple pattern before practicing how to sew straight and curved seams.

This workshop will focus on two beginner friendly projects: you'll learn how to sew a pop-up vase from start to finish and a geometric garland using the leftover fabric scraps!

*Have your own machine (still new in the box or has been set up and used in the past)? You're welcome to bring your own machine if it’s in good working order with the power cord, pedal, and accessories. Please bring or download the manual to have on hand if needed.

Each workshop ticket includes:

  • 3 hours of hands on instruction from a talented artist and small business owner

  • Use of class sewing machines (or bring your own!)

  • Assortment of fabric + threads

  • Use of fabric scissors

  • Pair of mini scissors (to use and keep!)

    • Snack bento box + treats

    • Beverages (sparkling water and an optional adult beverage)

    • 10% off all retail purchase the day of the workshop
