Class Date: Sunday, October 9th

Class Time: 12pm–3pm

Come learn the art of how to decorate cookies with royal icing in this beginner friendly and hands on workshop with Michelle of The Cookie Counter! This class is great for anyone who wants to learn the basics of icing consistency and piping and flooding with royal icing (or who loves cookies!)

The class start off with how to make royal icing, you will be guided through the ever tricky icing consistency to ensure that you have the base knowledge to be able to make icing for future cookie decorating!

You will spend time practicing various icing techniques like how to hold the icing bag, piping and icing. Michelle will then guide you, step-by-step as you create stationery themed cookies using a piping and flooding decorating method.

You'll also learn how to create designs using the wet-on-wet technique and some tips and tricks from a seasoned cookie decorator.

After the class, you will leave with your 8 decorated cookie and some personal take home tools + materials to continue decorating at home!

Each workshop ticket includes:

Michelle Ly is the creator and owner of The Cookie Counter, a home based bakery here in Austin, TX. She is a CPA by trade but has always had a passion for baking. Even amongst a hectic day job, she spent her free time baking her stress away and using cookies as her creative outlet. That is how she came to start The Cookie Counter where she creates cookie art that not only looks great but also tastes great. She has over ten years of decorating experience and has lots of tips and tricks to share with you.

Dietary restrictions: We will be providing a light meal for all of our workshop attendees. At this time we are not able to cater to every dietary restriction but will have a vegetarian option will be available. You are welcome to bring your own personal snacks to accommodate your diet. (please make a selection at check out, once your selection has been made we are unable to modify.)

Age requirements: The Paper + Craft Pantry workshops are created for adults and are not recommended for anyone under the age of 18 years old. We are unable to seat anyone under age without a ticketed parent or legal guardian who is also attending this class.
