INTRO TO CALLIGRAPHY WORKSHOP

Class Time: 12pm–3pm
Get ready to explore the world of pointed pen calligraphy!
This beginner friendly workshop will introduce you to the world of calligraphy as we explore pointed pen lettering!
Calligraphy is a fun and relaxing art that will make our time fly by once you get started! In this modern calligraphy workshop, you'll learn the basic process of building letters in modern styles with guides, worksheets, and instruction from calligraphy artist Ember Sherman.
During the last portion of the class, you'll have the opportunity to test your new skills on a variety of paper goods like cards, envelopes and tags.
Each workshop ticket includes:
3 hours of hands on instruction from a talented artist and small business owner
Letter and word guides
5 sheets of tracing paper
Calligraphy paper
Small water jar (to rinse your nibs)
Pencil + eraser
1 pot of black sumi ink + 1 pot of colored ink
3 nibs
1 straight pen holder

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR: EMBER SHERMAN
Ember is the artist and owner of Ember Elaine Letters, based in Leander, Texas. Her work is inspired by the importance of words in people’s lives and making them beautiful and unique. Ember taught herself how to letter in 2016 and continues to learn new methods of lettering every year, most recently hand-engraved calligraphy and foil lettering! When she isn't working on calligraphy, she enjoys being home with her rescue pup Kevin, traveling with her family and volunteering in her church and community!

Cancellations: We do not allow cancellations as we have committed to compensating our instructor for their time, supplies and talent. However, if you are unable to attend the workshop, let us know within 48 hours and you can either send someone else in your place or pick up your arrangement and supplies the week following the workshop.

Dietary restrictions: We will be providing a light meal for all of our workshop attendees. At this time we are not able to cater to every dietary restriction but will have a vegetarian option available. (Please make a selection at check out, once your selection has been made we are unable to modify.)
Age requirements: The Paper + Craft Pantry workshops are created for adults and are not recommended for anyone under the age of 18 years old. We are unable to seat anyone under age without a ticketed parent or legal guardian who is also attending this class.
