INTRO TO STACKING RINGS WORKSHOP

Class Date: Sunday, June 29th

Class Time: 12pm-3pm

Join us for a fun beginner's workshop in metal smithing with Benh of YEAR 901!

You will learn the basics of jewelry soldering to create, form and finish 2 sterling silver stacking rings. In this class, you will learn how to use essential jewelry-making tools, including files, pliers, hammers, and soldering with a torch. By the end of the class, you will leave with a new set of skills and your own pair of hammered stacking rings.

Each workshop ticket includes:

• 3 hours of hands on instruction from a talented artist and small business owner

• Use of torch and soldering block during workshop

• Sterling silver wire and solder

• Use of hammers and hand tools
  

• Use of pickling and polishing tools

• Snack bento box

• Beverages (sparkling water and sparkling wine)

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR: BENH

Benh is a metalsmith and owner of YEAR 901, based in Austin, TX. Her jewelry is inspired by vibrant colors and playful details, reflecting her goal to infuse joy and wonder into her work, each piece telling a story of her creative journey.  With a studio ethos rooted in exploration and embracing imperfection, Benh continually seeks new techniques and materials to expand the boundaries of her craft with sustainable and mindful intention.

Cancellations: We do not allow cancellations as we have committed to compensating our instructor for their time, supplies and talent. However, if you are unable to attend the workshop, let us know within 48 hours and you can either send someone else in your place or have this workshop's materials shipped to you.

Dietary restrictions: We will be providing a light meal for all of our workshop attendees. At this time we are not able to cater to every dietary restriction but will have a vegetarian option available. (Please make a selection at check out, once your selection has been made we are unable to modify.)

Age requirements: The Paper + Craft Pantry workshops are created for adults and are not recommended for anyone under the age of 18 years old. We are unable to seat anyone under age without a ticketed parent or legal guardian who is also attending this class.
