ART OF PAPER FLOWERS: RANUNCULUS WORKSHOP

Class Date: Friday, July 26th

Class Time: 5:30pm-8:30pm

We are so beyond excited to host a gorgeous paper flower making workshop with Guest Artist, Emily Paluska. Emily is a paper flower artist + owner of Revery Paper Flora based in Washington, D.C.

Celebrate the release weekend of Emily's new book with an exclusive workshop learning to craft one of her most requested but never before shared classes: the paper ranunculus. You’ll dive into the art of creating your very own realistic paper ranunculi.

Emily will fully lead you through the joys of European crepe paper. You will learn techniques to make your paper come alive through cutting and shaping techniques to create the perfect “fluffy” ranunculus in a host of bright and beautiful colors.

As part of this special weekend event, participants will receive a signed copy of Emily's new book, offering further insight and inspiration for their own paper crafting journey. You will have enough materials to make a dozen stems and have the knowledge and resources to continue crafting more paper flowers at home!

Each workshop ticket includes:

  • 3 hours of hands on instruction from a talented artist and small business owner

  • Signed copy of Emily’s brand new book!

  • European crepe paper + other materials

  • Pair of gold/rose gold scissors to use and keep

  • Pan pastel

  • Glue

  • Catered dinner + bento snack box

  • Beverages (sparkling water and sparkling wine)

  • 10% off all retail purchase the day of the workshop

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR: EMILY

Emily is a botanical artist and educator living and working in Washington, DC. She has always loved all things botanical but couldn't keep a plant alive to save my life. She came to paper flowers in an unusual way. After the birth of my oldest child, she was desperate for an outlet that had nothing to do with my new role as a mother. She was merely existing and flailing in the depths of postpartum depression. In her darkest hour, she needed something to hold onto and making paper flowers in the floor of a nursery ended up being it. She made a paper flower every day for a year. It became a ritual. The ultimate self care. She had finally found light amongst the darkness.
