INTRO TO ZINES WORKSHOP

Class Date: Saturday, November 1st

Class Time: 12pm–3pm

Join us for a fun, hands-on 3 hour workshop where you'll dive into the world of DIY publishing and walk away with your very own zine - and a mini library of everyone's creations from the workshop!

What's a zine? A zine (magazine) is a self-published work of original content by YOU! These little booklets can be diary entries, journals, lists of things you like, drawings, short stories, anything!

Whether you're new to journaling, storytelling or have a pile of notes and ideas waiting to come to life, this workshop is for you. We'll explore the basics of zine-making using a simple 8 page format that's perfect for beginners. You'll spend time writing, designing and crafting your zine and we'll also talk about why publishing your own voice matters - and how to share it with others.

Each workshop ticket includes:

  • 3 hours of hands on instruction from a talented artist and small business owner

  • Use of a variety of papers, markers, pens and more supplies

  • Bone folder

  • Snack bento box + treats
  • Beverages (sparkling water and sparkling wine)

  • 10% off all retail purchase the day of the workshop
